Today we found out about forces. Working in teams, we carried out our own investigation to find out which sticky tape was the strongest. We stuck three different types of tape on a stand, then stuck a paper clip on the sticky side of each tape. Then we carefully placed washers on the paper clips one at a time, counting each washer as it was added. We found out that duck tape was the best because it needed more washers for the paper clip to fall to the table.

Chemical Reactions
This week in Science Club, we looked at different chemical reactions and investigated what happens when you mix two different solutions together. Then we placed a balloon on top of the conical flask to see what happened. When mixed together, the two chemicals produced a gas and the gas filled up the balloon. We explored solids, liquids and gasses further before finding out about polymers!! Each of us created our own polymer (gummy worm) which we took home with us.

Using Scientific equipment
The children had great fun today in Science Club. They found out about how to measure different solutions using cylinders, conical flasks and pipettes. Then they had a competition to see which team could collect the most liquid using the pipettes!
